Annette, a Co. Kerry Native, offers a fantastic array of beautifully coloured fresh and dried flower arrangements all 100% Irish Grown, and Chemical-free. Nettie’s Flowers are home grown and she applies over twenty-five years’ experience working in horticulture from Show Gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show to managing over sixty acres of Kew Gardens. Annette studied horticulture, including floristry, at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin and studied floristry in Italy, and she discovered Sustainable Floristry techniques during her time at the Tallulah Rose Flower School, Uk. Annette has also had the wonderful experience of working at historical estate gardens, to name a few; Kylemore Abbey, Muckross House, Ballnatray House and Glin Castle.
Nettie’s Flower’s caters for all markets, to include, weddings, festivals, the hospitality sector, memorials, and for home decorations. Annette sees a growing market whereby many of her customers are environmentally conscious and they insist on chemical-free cuts. Her dried flower range has seen a significant increase in demand and are beautifully arranged in various colours in vases, wreaths and gift boutiques.
Casey Collection is honoured to have the opportunity to showcase and sell Nettie’s Flowers dried cut range. We have visited her premises; a garden of surprises and colour and we are proud to promote and sell such beautiful organic arrangements.
Dried arrangements are more suitable for indoors. However, if you wish to use as an external display, please ensure that they are in a sheltered area to avoid dampness and wind exposure.
Dried Flower Care
Keep your dried flowers in a warm, dry and somewhat airy spot. A kitchen or bathroom is not a good place, as these rooms get very humid, and dried flower stems can wilt or go mouldy if they get damp.
Dried flowers fade naturally over time, but they will keep their colour longer if you canavoid placing them in direct sunlight.
Choose a position where they won’t be brushed past, knocked, or arouse the curiosity of little people or pets; they are light and fragile.
If they get dusty you can blow the dust off gently with a hair drier on the lowest setting.
