About Mairead Sheahan
Mairead Sheahan (née Casey) is the founder of Casey Collections, a sustainable Irish merchandise brand based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry. The business specialises in thoughtfully designed apparel and accessories inspired by Ireland’s rich culture, heritage, and festivals, with a strong commitment to responsible sourcing and long-lasting quality.
Originally from Dublin, Mairead relocated to Killorglin in 2012 after meeting her husband, Donal Sheahan, owner of Francie Sheahan’s, a third-generation family bar at the heart of the town. Immersed in the local community and its traditions, she developed a deep appreciation for the role tourism and storytelling play in shaping memorable visitor experiences.
The idea for Casey Collections was born during Puck Fair 2022, when visitors repeatedly asked where they could purchase official merchandise. Recognising a clear gap in the market, Mairead partnered with the Puck Fair Committee to design and supply an exclusive range of high-quality products. Today, with the festival attracting up to 100,000 visitors annually, Casey Collections has become the trusted source for official merchandise, shipping across Ireland, the UK, and the USA.
Building on this success, Casey Collections has evolved beyond retail into a growing B2B sustainable partnerships for tourism, hospitality, and retail businesses. Mairead works closely with clients to develop bespoke, branded merchandise collections that enhance their offering, strengthen customer engagement, and create additional revenue streams, all aligned with a sustainable and premium positioning.
Sustainability sits at the core of Casey Collections. Each product is carefully selected with a focus on organic and responsibly sourced materials, ethical production, and reduced environmental impact. This commitment reflects both modern consumer expectations and Mairead’s long-term vision to create merchandise that customers can feel good about purchasing and wearing.
Mairead’s passion for design is deeply rooted in her family heritage. Her mother, Margaret Casey, was a talented designer of wedding and occasion wear, known for her craftsmanship and attention to detail. This influence is evident in every Casey Collections piece, where quality, authenticity, and thoughtful design come together.
With over 25 years’ experience in accounting and business strategy across Dublin, Australia, and London, Mairead combines creative vision with commercial expertise. Her qualifications, including Chartered Accounting (CAP1), a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration, and an Executive MBA, underpin the structured growth and strategic direction of the business.
Today, Casey Collections offers a curated range of sustainable, Irish-designed merchandise for both consumers and business clients. Mairead’s mission is simple: to create meaningful products that celebrate Irish culture, support local enterprise, and deliver a premium experience from first impression to final purchase.
As she puts it,
“The customer experience is everything. I want every product to feel like a meaningful connection to Ireland, crafted with care, and made to last.”
